Establishment of Committee for SC/ ST (As per the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, No. 33 OF 1989, dated 11.09.1989)
The SC/ST committee of the Annai College of Arts and Science was established in 2019 with the purpose to empower the SC/ST students in the college.

The vision is to responds to the social reality that promote and protects the dignity, equality, social justice and human rights for the entire citizen.
Mission:
The mission of SC/ST committee is to promote their academic and psychological well-being for their career enrichment.

The SC/ST committee of the Annai College of Arts and Science was established in 2019 with the purpose to empower the SC/ST students in the college.
Objectives of the Committee:
SC/ST Committee has been constituted in the Institute to resolve all the affairs and problems related to the SC/ST Officers, Employees, and Students of the Institute. Following are the important work under SC/ST Committee:
- To advise and direct SC/ST students and assist those in effectively managing academic and personal problems related to college life.
- To provide prompt counseling for any emotional emergencies arising on account of any event at the campus.
- To ensure previsions of an environment where all such students feel safe and secure.
- To ensure protection and reservation as provided in the constitution of India.
- To aware the SC/ST students regarding various scholarship programs of State Government and UGC.
- To arrange unique opportunities to enhance the carrier growth.
- To take such follow up steps to achieve the objectives and targets by the Government of India and the UGC.
Activities:
- To collect reports and information of State Government and UGC’s orders on various aspects of education, employment of SC/ST Students.
- To circulate State Government and UGC’s decisions about different scholarship programs.
- To communicate with the students and motivate them for better future planning.
