ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

Department of BCA was established in the year 2001, with the vision of inculcation technology biased pedagogy, with the benchmark to meet the industrial demands through the concepts of cloud computing, big data, Web Design, Network, starting from programming in C to Web  developing software Programming in PHP, Computer Graphics and DBMS etc.  Department has started its functioning with a total student strength of 23 and now the total enrollment has reached 307.  Department comprises of eminent faculty members who regularly update their respective domain knowledge for the benefit of student community. The department has so far conducted several seminars from year to year including 6 webinars               (1 International and 5 National) even during pandemic period  of 2020 .

The Department of BCA have participated in several National Level conference and seminar. Dr.S.Bhuvaneswari has been invited for special talk and also  as an External guide at Annamalai University for  the doctorate scholars Annamalai University and  AVC college of Arts & Science, Mayiladuthurai. Staff members have also published peer reviewed journals; Students of BCA have also participated in workshop conducted in various colleges.  The students of BCA have participated in various events and have won  in various events.  A  Separate student forum called “Spark Point Association”   which started its achievement since 2009   which carries all co-curricular activities.  Every year the Department registers its remarkable achievement by conducting a national level technical meet called “ITRIX”.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Master of Computer Applications was established in the year 2008.

The course is approved by AICTE.

The Department is well equipped for teaching, and is continually upgrading its laboratories to keep machines and equipment up-to- date.

The department has organized several Seminars, International conferences and Sponsored workshops inclusive of activities of the department.
