Anti Ragging

Preventive Measures by the Institution

Conducting orientation program, workshop and seminars on Anti-ragging

Display Anti-ragging posters in College entrance, Hostel, Library and Canteen

Install CCTV cameras in strategic locations to deter ragging and provide evidence

Collect Anti-ragging affidavits from the parents and students

Punishments for students on Anti-ragging include:

Suspension from classes or academic privileges

Withholding or withdrawal of scholarships

Debarring from examinations or results

Suspension or expulsion from hostels

Cancellation of admission or rustication (1–4 semesters)

Expulsion and debarment from other institutions

Fines up to ₹25,000

Imprisonment up to 2 years, or fine up to ₹10,000, or both

Collective punishment if perpetrators are not identified
